Comfortability

Busyness between work & family life has kept me from blogging this past week, but I’m happy to report that all is well in the diet world. Exercise has been a challenge this week due to not feeling well; it’s in these times that I know I should not overdo it. Whatever seems to be going around is certainly having a go-around in my system and I’m so ready for it to be gone! Sickness, please go away so that I can get back in the pool!! Life has been crazy to say the least but I’m doing my best to be healthy. So far, so good. I’m comfortable where I’m at and I’m pleased with the progress. This is not a temporary thing for me so I gotta keep it going!! I think that I’ve lost over ten pounds now but we’ll see tomorrow morning on my weekly weigh-in! By the way, even though I’ve been distant from blogging this week, I have made effort to keep up on my Food Log for anybody interested in seeing (or scolding me for) what I’m eating!! Have a great Sunday and be well!
Good to hear that you’re sticking with the healthy eating plan. Aside from being sick, can you tell a difference in how you feel because you’re eating better?

To be honest, I haven’t given that much thought. If I were to say one way or the other, I suppose that I do feel better. Physically, I don’t feel much difference at this point but mentally, I feel much stronger and healthier. It feels good to make better choices with food. We had lunch at the food court at the Japanese market yesterday and the pork cutlet curry dish was calling my name but I opted for the buckwheat noodles with a side of eel over rice, which was a much better way to go and completely regret-free! Stuff like this feels good for sure. How are you doing with your diet?

It’s not easy to be healthy when sick. Get better, okay. I’ve been feeling bummed over the past 4-6 weeks since I’ve had a cold that has limited my exercise. I hope things turn up for you this week.

By the way, you’ve lost 4.7% of your total body weight. Impressive, Cory. Keep up the great work!!!

We’ve all been sick lately so let’s all get better! These are the times when eating healthy really matter most: when you aren’t exercising AND when you’re sick!
Ryan, I can always count on you for the stats! 4.7% sounds like so much!! Thanks for your support. Under 220 here I come!!

Yeah, it’s about time we are all well. My diet has flown out the window while being sick…..especially when I was first sick and the only thing that sounded the least bit good was rocky road ice cream. Uhhhhh…..NOT the best……will be back on track shortly.

Oh Cory–I love your blog! Your mom shared your site with me. I’m working on my own healthy eating plan….and realize I will be forever! Everytime I relax on what I know I should be doing to care for myself, I backslide! Sharing with others aids in accountability! I look forward to reading of your adventure as it unfolds! God bless your daily efforts!

Mom: first things first, let’s make sure you get better and then you can worry about your diet! Currently, I am eating only two meals a day, which is not really by choice but it just sort of happens. We wake up and get our day started and before we know it, it’s the afternoon. We try to eat a larger portion meal for lunch that is loaded with good stuff and then eat a smaller-sized meal for dinner, but it doesn’t always work out that way. The business keeps us busy and lately, it’s just been one thing after another that has limited us to generally two meals a day. I don’t feel like I’m under-eating but it would probably serve me best to spread out the food to at least three meals. This is definitely something on both of our minds and we are adjusting to eating healthy one day at a time. It’s been really good for the both of us. If you ever have any specific comments about my Food Log, please feel free to share–that’s why I put it up there! :) Hope that you get better soon.
Patty: hi there! How nice of you to drop by. I’m so glad to have you as a reader of my blog and it sounds as if you may be working on your own healthy eating plan, which is great. I wish you the best of luck as well and I hope that you can come back again!! And yes, you’re right about accountability!! Is there anything that we should hold you accountable for here? :) See you around!!
